The principal activities of the Company鈥檚 subsidiaries consist of marketing and distribution of pharmaceutical products in the People鈥檚 Republic of China; development, manufacturing and sales of pharmaceutical products in the People鈥檚 Republic of China; commercial exploitation and development of genome-related technology, and development and commercialisation of oral insulin products. It operates in four business segments: the manufacturing segment, which is engaged in the development, manufacturing and selling of pharmaceutical products; the trading segment engaged in the marketing and distribution of imported pharmaceutical products; the gene development segment, which is engaged in the commercial exploitation and development of genome-related technology, and the oral insulin segment, which is engaged in the development and commercialization of oral insulin products.
