CITIC Resources Holdings Limited is an investment holding company engaged in the operation of the Portland Aluminum Smelter, which sources alumina and produces aluminum ingots in Australia; the operation of coal mines and the sale of coal in Australia; export of various commodity products, such as aluminum ingots, iron ore, alumina and coal; and import of other commodities and manufactured goods, such as vehicle and industrial batteries and various metals, such as steel in Australia; operation of manganese mining and sale of refined manganese products in the People鈥檚 Republic of China; exploration, development, production and sale of oil from the Seram Island Non-Bula Block, Indonesia; exploration of oil from the Hainan-Yuedong Block; the exploration, development, production and sale of oil from the Karazhanbas Oil and Gas Field, and exploration of manganese mining in West Africa. During the year ended December 31, 2010, it completed spin-off of CITIC Dameng Holdings Limited.
