Beijing Jingkelong Company Limited (Jingkelong) is engaged in the retail and wholesale distribution of daily consumer products in the region covering the Beijing city and certain parts of its periphery. The Company operates in three segments: retailing, wholesaling and others. The retailing segment engages in the distribution of live and fresh produce, dry products, beverages, processed food and daily necessities through hypermarkets, supermarkets and/or convenience stores of Jingkelong (the retail outlets). The wholesaling segment engages in the wholesale supply of daily consumer products to consumers, including the retail outlets, other retail operators, and trading companies. The others segment comprises the production of plastic packing materials, and the installation and maintenance of commercial equipment. On December 24, 2010, the Company acquired a 100% interest in Beijing Shoulian Supermarket from a third party, Beijing Shoulian Trading Company Limited (Shoulian).
