China National Building Material Company Limited is an investment holding company. The Company operates in five segments: Lightweight building materials, which is engaged in production and sale of lightweight building materials; Cement, which is engaged in production and sale of cement; Engineering services, which is engaged in provision of engineering services to glass and cement manufacturers and equipment procurement; Glass fiber and composite materials, which is engaged in production and sale of glass fiber and composite materials, and Others, which is engaged in merchandise trading business and others. On January 27, 2010, China Triumph International Engineering Company Limited, subsidiary of the Company acquired 18% additional interests in CTIEC Shenzhen Scieno-tech Engineering Company Limited. On December 16, 2010, China Composites Group Corporation Limited, subsidiary of the Company acquired additional 6% interests in Zhongfu Shenying Carbon Fiber Company Limited.

China National Building Materials Group Corporation (CNBM) was established in 1984 with approval from the State Council, and then became a Central Enterprise under direct supervision of State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council in 2003.
CNBM practices the parent-subsidiary management system, and is one of those wholly state-owned enterprises carrying out the pilot trial of Board of Directors system and innovation system. As the strategic center, decision center, resources center, and policy & culture center, our Group exercises its right as a contributor. Whereas, our sub-groups functioning as business platforms, are mandated to construct the profit center based on their core competences to enlarge brand awareness and increase market share.
