CITIC 1616 Holdings Limited is an investment holding company. It is a telecoms services provider, specializing in hub-based services. In addition to serving its markets in China and Hong Kong, the Company is providing its services to international telecoms operators. The Company has four businesses, which include voice services, short message service (SMS) services, mobile value-added services (VAS) and data services. Its independent hub connects over 537 telecoms operators in 69 countries or areas. Revenue generated from the telecommunications segment includes the fees derived from the provision of voice services; provision of short message services, and provision of other telecommunications services. It provides international voice hubbing services to fixed line and mobile operators, and circuit switch voice service solution to corporate customers. On March 5, 2010, the Company acquired a 20% stake in Companhia de Telecomunicacoes de Macau, S.A.R.L from CITIC Pacific Limited.
