Ninetowns Internet Technology Group Company Limited is a software company that enables enterprises and trade-related People鈥檚 Republic of China Government agencies to streamline the import/export process. It provides enterprise software and related services for the completion over the Internet of the declaration process. It has assisted in designing and building, and maintains and upgrades, the electronic systems of the People鈥檚 Republic of China Inspections Administration that enable its enterprise software to process electronic declarations over the Internet. At December 31, 2009, it operated in two business segments: business-to-government (B2G) services and business-to-consumer (B2C) services. In March 2009, the Company discontinued its business-to-business (B2B) search engine operations and the provision of B2B search services.
