China's railway ministry is 2.09 trillion yuan in debt ending June, with debt ratio at 58.53 percent.
The Ministry of Railways reported its half-year results Monday, showing that the total amount of its debts has reached beyond 2 trillion yuan, with debt ratio at 58.53 percent.
Ending June this year, the aggregated assets in the railway ministry hit 3.57 trillion yuan, while the debts were 2.09 trillion, according to the results.
Profit in the first half of 2011, contributing to the transporting companies under the railway ministry, was 4.29 billion yuan. Revenue totaled 352.55 billion yuan.
Profit in the second quarter should be 8.05 billion yuan given the half-year’s total of 4.29 billion, after the ministry posted a loss of 3.76 billion in the first three months.
