August 24 – Baotou Beifang Chuangye (600967) won a 400 million-yuan contracts to supply 975 C70E rails to China Railway Construction Investment Limited, reports yicai.com, citing a company filing.
The rails themselves are worth roughly 367 million yuan, accounting for 10.85 percent of Beifang Chuangye’s total revenues in 2010. The deal’s contribution to the company’s assets and profits are not clear yet, the source said.
Beifang Chuangye was founded in Baotou city, Inner Mongolia in 2000 and listed in 2004. It researches, develops, manufactures and sells railway transportation vehicles and components, wind power tower silos and special purpose vehicles. The company provides metallurgical machinery and pressure vessels. Its vehicle components include structural members, bent-axle forging parts and truck springs.
Shares of Baotou Beifang Chuangye (600967) traded at 17.97 yuan as of 10:06 this morning.
