August 8 – Shandong Loften Aluminum Foil (Loften Foil) (002379) posted a 30.63-percent year-on-year fall in net profits for the first half of 2011 to 10.98 million yuan, reports the China Securities Journal, citing a company filing. Sales revenues grew 58.75 percent year-on-year to 807.44 million yuan during that period.

In its reporting, the firm included depreciation and financial expenses for one project with capacity of 50,000 tons of high precision aluminum foil that was put into partial operation. The project incurred a loss of 13.06 million yuan for that period.

Loften Foil predicts net profits attributable to shareholders for the first three quarters will grow as much as 30 percent.
