August 9 -- China National Chemical Engineering (RCode:601117:) subsidiary China Chengda Engineering won a $1.304 billion-yuan contract to build three coal-fired power plants in Duyen Hai district of Tra Vinh province, Vietnam, reports Yicai.com, citing a company filing. The contract is worth 25.8 percent of the company's 2010 sales revenue and entails a 50-month construction period.
China National Chemical Engineering was established in 1984 and provides contract engineering and construction projects in the sectors of infrastructure, chemicals, oil, pharmaceuticals, electricity, and coal.
