10 –Eastcompeace Smart Card (002017) resumed supplying SIM cards to China Mobile (0941.HK), reports Shanghai Securities News, citing a company filing.
China Mobile had originally suspended orders of the company’s products, which it said did not meet its demands. The state-owned telecom giant also asked for compensation of 50-60 million yuan.
Eastcompeace’s products were deemed satisfactory after modifications were made. Although China Mobile decided to renew its cooperation agreement with the Zhuhai-based smart card supplier, it still expects Eastcompeace to pay the compensation fees it demanded.
Eastcompeace also participated in a bid to supply SIM cards for China Mobile during the latter half of this year.
