PetroChina is scheduled to ship 1.33-mil mt of oil products from north to south during August, up by 4.6% from the previous month, according to sources with sales branches of the major.
Gasoline supply will increase by 2.9% from July and that of gasoil up 6% on month, the sources said.
The supplies rose as Jilin Petrochemical and Jinxi Petrochemical both wrapped up turnarounds, although the shutdown of Dalian Petrochemical's 10-mil-mt/yr crude distillate unit in mid-July triggered the worries on supply cut, market sources said.
In addition, PetroChina allocates more oil products to sales branches in August considering quick digestion of their stocks, robust demand for gasoline and pick-up in gasoil demand, the sources also said.
