August 24 -- Anyang Iron and Steel posted a 41.93 percent year-on-year increase in first half 2011 net profit to 71.49 million yuan, with earnings per share of 0.03 yuan, reports p5w.net, citing a company filing.
Sales revenue rose 27.75 percent year-on-year to 17.24 billion yuan.
The steelmaker attributed the improved earnings to good steel sales, and to an increase in gross profit margins.
