Tongwei Group signed strategic cooperation framework agreement with the government of Xinjiang recently, according to which, Tongwei will invest RMB26 billion on construction of solar photovoltaic integration project. Thus, Tongwei will have two new energy industrial bases located in Xinjiang and Sichuan, and gradually develop a complete new energy industrial chain including monocrystalline silicon, polycrystalline silicon and solar-cell panel module.

Till now, Phase I (1,000tons/year) of Yongxiang Poly-Silicon project (10,000 tons) invested by Tongwei Group in Leshan Sichuan province had been successfully put into operation, and the Phase II (3,000 tons) went into operation in the end of Aug., 2011. Besides, poly-silicon project with capacity of 6,000 tons/year is under rapid construction now, and will go into operation before the end of Jun. 2012.
