Myanmar’s government recently has cleared the access to Facebook, along with other foreign news sites including BBC, VOA and YOUTUBE.
Up to now, only netizens from North Korea, Cuba, Iran, and China are banned from accessing Facebook, which has 800 million users around the world.
Myanmar has long been seen as a country with the toughest restriction in Internet. A 2005 survey made by an international group showed that the government blocked 85 percent of pages with sensitive messages.
