China Mobile has established wholly-owned subsidiary to handle the company's 3G smartphone purchases. The new company, called China Mobile Terminal, will be responsible for customisation, testing, procurement, sales, and service of the company's 3G devices, the China Daily reports citing China Mobile's chief executive Li Yue.
The new subsidiary will particularly focus on TD terminals such as phones, tablets, and other mobile internet devices. China Mobile Terminal plans to expand TD terminal sales to 60 million units next year, including over 30 million smartphones.
