November 23-- The National Development And Reform Commission (NDRC) will launch an investigation into the ex-factory prices of pharmaceuticals on the NDRC’s medicine-pricing system list, reports Beijing Times, citing new regulations issued by the NDRC yesterday.
Pharmaceutical enterprises under investigation are required to submit accurate basic company and pharmaceutical information forms and pharmaceutical ex-factory price forms.
The NDRC will look into pharmaceuticals’ highest ex-factory prices, lowest ex-factory prices and average ex-factory prices as well as sales turnover, sales volume and sales staff numbers.
Pharmaceutical enterprises refusing to submit forms, concealing or providing false information, or acting in an uncooperative manner will face penalties.
