(NASDAQ: BEST) ("Shiner" or the "Company"), an emerging global supplier of packaging solutions for food, tobacco, and consumer products, today announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Hainan Shiner Industrial Co., Ltd. ("Hainan Shiner") served as the principal drafter of three new national packaging industry standards to be implemented by the Standardization Administration of the People's Republic of China (the "Administration").

The Administration released three additional national standards, for acrylic coated biaxially oriented polypropylene film (Code No: GB/T 26690-2011), modified polyvinyl alcohol coated biaxially oriented film (Code No: GB/T 26691-2011), and laser holographic anti-counterfeiting biaxially oriented polypropylene film (Code No: GB/T 26708-2011), which will become effective on December 1, 2011. These standards are important for the development of food safety packaging and combating product infringement and counterfeiting and are outlined in the 2011 No. 9 Bulletin of National Standards.
