The current standard is developed for the purpose of implementing Environmental protection Law of the People's Republic of China, standardizing the management of development of application software for environmental protection and promoting application of information technology in the field of environmental protection. The current standard is specifies important flowchart, basic management requirement and technical requirements that shall be observed during the management of development of environmental protection application software. The current standard is applicable to management on development of basic application software development; management of requirement, outline design, detailed design, software achievement, testing, trial run, check; acceptance of software, service and maintenance, user training and review that are employed in environmental protection. The main users of the current standard are management people and developers of application software for environmental protection. The current standard is issued for the first time in China.
