Major products of Zhongyuan Special Steel Co., Ltd. include petroleum drilling tool, retained mandrel, etc. The company is the largest retained mandrel manufacture in Asia, and it is also the largest non-magnetic collar manufacture in China, with the market share of 80% or so. In addition, the market share of petroleum drill collar and casting pipe model of the company maintain around 30% on average, while the figure of large-scale special steel forgings approximates 15%.
Currently, steelmaking capacity of Zhongyuan Special Steel Co., Ltd. is 200kt, while the forging capacity realizes 100kt. According to the company’s development program, steelmaking capacity will be 400-500kt in 2015, while the forging capacity will be 250kt. In the short run, the forging capacity and the steelmaking capacity of the company is expected to realize 200kt and 300kt or more by 2013 after its new RF70-type 1,800-ton radial forging machine production line technical transformation project is put into production.
