Following its recent announcement that its new One series smartphone will be avaialble in a number of markets in April, HTC is expected to start shipping the flagship model of the series, the HTC One X, in March, according to a Chinese-language Commercial Times report.
Monthly shiments of the HTC One X are likely to reach 400,000 units initially, serving as a key growth driver for the vendor in March, the paper stated.
HTC unveiled three models of its new One-series smartphones – the HTC One X, One S and One V – at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2012 recently.
The HTC One series integrates Android 4.0 (ICS) with HTC Sense 4, the new version of HTC's branded user experience that is introducing HTC ImageSense, a new suite of camera and imaging features. HTC Sense 4 also includes enhancements to audio quality and simplifies how people listen to music on their phone, HTC claimed.
The HTC One X features an Nvidia 1.5GHz quad-core processor and a 4.7-inch Gorilla Glass display with a resolution of 1,280 by 720 pixels. The HTC One X will also be available in select 4G LTE markets with a LTE-enabled Qualcomm 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor.
The 4.3-inch HTC One S is also powered by a Qualcomm 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 CPU. With a thickness of 7.9mm, it is thinnest phone HTC has ever made, the vendor said.
Utilizing the design of the HTC Legend, the 3.7-inch HTC One V is powered by a Qualcomm 1GHz single-core processor.
