Sun Hung Kai Properties Limited (HKG:0016) announced that it was informed by Thomas Kui-yuen Chan, an Executive Director of the Company, on 19 March 2012 that he was arrested by the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) in connection with an investigation into an offence or offences suspected, inter alia, to have been committed under the Prevention of Bribery Ordinance (the Allegation).

The Board has set up a special committee, consisting of one Executive Director and two Non-Executive Directors, to handle the investigation being undertaken by the ICAC in relation to the Allegation and all matters which may arise from and relate to such investigation.

The Company clarified that the abovementioned arrest has not affected and will not affect the normal business and operations of the Group. The Executive Committee will continue to be responsible for the day-to-day management and operation of the Company as usual.
