CB Insights found that corporate venture capitalists only invested $369 million in the healthcare market this past quarter, compared to a high of $535 million in Q4 last year. Deals declined similarly by 60% from the last quarter.
Study also claims that device-intensive procedures's cost variations, year-over-year, were among the lowest. A study published in September, which tracked the prices of device implants, showed prices falling anywhere from 17% to 34% from 2007 to 2011 (depending on the device).
