 Wu Wenxue Attends the World Cruise Convention and Delivers a Speech

On March 15, Wu Wenxue, Member of the Party Committee of China National Tourism Administration, Director of the Department of Planning and Finance of China National Tourism Administration, and Vice President of China Tourism Association, attended and delivered a speech on the World Cruise Convention organized in Miami, the United States.

Wu Wenxue noted that the cruise tourism is a high-end travel and leisure mode, currently international cruise centers have been constructed or under construction in more than 10 coastal cities in China like Shanghai, Xiamen, Tianjin, Sanya, Qingdao and Zhoushan. China’s tourism business communities have earnest wishes for conducting wide-range and in-depth cooperation with international cruise companies and hope that cruise enterprises from countries across the world will share the extensive cruise tourism market in China. He expressed four cooperation expectations that first, actively developing international cruise lines with home ports and major ports in China, particularly developing and creating Southeast Asian and East Asian cruise travel lines facing the Pacific and with headquarters in China; second, he expressed hopes that cruise companies and design institutions give full play of their experiences in terms of design, operation and management of cruise port, and actively participate the design, construction, operation and management of cruise ports in China; third, actively utilizing China’s shipbuilding and design resources and establishing cruise research and design centers in China; fourth, he extended warm welcome for major institutes and enterprises to establish cruise tourism training bases or related courses in China, and jointly cultivate the professional talents for cruise tourism.
