On Oct 18th, 2011, Beijing International Construction Machinery Exhibition & Seminar (BICES 2011) opened. On the booth covering 6300 m2, the largest among peers, Sany exhibited 35 units of new equipment in 5 categories, including the 86m concrete pump truck, the record holder of the concrete pump truck with the longest boom in the world, transformer-like conceptual excavator and new star products such as SR360Ⅱ, known as the “King of Rotary Drilling Rig”. These products attracted a lot of attention and many orders flow in. For the first day of the exhibition, orders of cranes and mining trucks alone exceeded RMB 600 million.
The pump truck with 86-meter-long boom that was independently developed by Sany Group Co., Ltd. officially got the Guinness certificate of "pump truck with global longest boom" on December 11, making three world records including the longest boom, the most boom sections and the highest pump displacement.
R&D workers disclosed that this pump truck adopted the 7-boom design for the first time in the world, having a wider and flexible work range compared with the 5-boom and 6-boom versions. 1200MPa high-strength steel plate was developed through innovation of the heating processing technology, thus solving the problems of high deformation and low impact toughness of boom high-strength steel plates. The pump displacement was increased from 230 cubic meters per hour to 240 cubic meters per hour, making a new world record in pump displacement.
Moreover, this pump truck with 86-meter-long boom adopted an all-terrain chassis with full independent intellectual property rights, breaking technical block of import chassis.
BICES 2011 covered an exhibiting area of 200,000 ㎡, increasing 25% compared with last time. It is the BICES of the largest scale, with most exhibitors and most complete product types in the history. The exhibition attracted a total of 1200 industry giants and new corporations from China, America, Germany, Britain, Japan and Korea. The conceptual designs and products including earthwork machinery, aerial working machinery, mining vehicles, commercial vehicles and special purpose vehicles were displayed. Tens of thousands of customers came to the exhibition, bringing new opportunities to global engineering machinery industry.
