UNITED States-based Nu Skin Enterprises will invest 40 million yuan (US$5.7 million) in establishing and upgrading stores in China.
The skin care company will spend 15 million yuan in setting up five experiential stores in 12 months and the remainder will be used in upgrading 50 direct-selling stores to image outlets.
Nu Skin opened its first experiential plaza, Nu Skin Plaza, on the Chinese mainland yesterday, which covered more than 500 square meters in Shanghai. Four more will follow in Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Beijing and Xi'an.
It saw robust sales growth in the Chinese market in the first quarter of this year.
