Millennium & Copthorne International Limited (MCIL) will be unveiling its first hotel in China, Shanghai on 28 August 2006. This is a management contract signed with China owner, the Shanghai Workers Union which also owns hotels, villas and spas amongst other investments in China.

Millennium Hongqiao Hotel Shanghai is a 5-star international hotel located along Yan An Xi Road and in the heart of the city's commercial and residential district in Hongqiao.
