July 28 -- Yunnan Xiyi Industrial (002265) reported a loss of 10.55 million yuan in the first half of 2011, reports China Business News, citing a company filing. Loss per share was 0.036 yuan in the same period.

The company blamed the profit slump of 1,466 percent on falling demand and lower product sales prices. Xiyi Industrial also predicted a loss between 13-17 million yuan in the first three quarters of 2011.

Xiyi Industrial is based in Kunming and manufactures automobile engine connecting rods.
