Shaanxi Provincial Natural Gas (002267) posted a 14.65 percent year-on-year rise in first half 2011 net profit attributable to shareholders to 286 million yuan, with earnings per share of 0.56 yuan, reports Securities Times, citing a company filing. Revenue increased 40.68 percent to 1.69 billion yuan.

For the first nine months, the company forecasts a 30 percent year-on-year increase in net profit attributable to shareholders to 315 million yuan.

According to the report, increased sales of natural gas resulted in revenue rising by 194 million yuan, or 16.13 percent, in the first half.

The adjustment in natural gas prices resulted in revenue rising rising by 295 million yuan, or 24.55 percent year-on-year.

The company purchased 1.31 billion cubic meters of natural gas in the first half, meeting 54.96 percent of its full year target of 2.38 billion cubic meters.

Gas distribution volume totaled 1.29 billion cubic meters in the first half, meeting 54.86 percent of its full year target of 2.36 billion cubic meters.
