August 8 -- Zhongyuan Union Stem Cell Bioengineering Corporation (Zhongyuan Union) (600645) announced that it plans to cooperate with Children’s Hospital of Chongqing Medical University (CHCMU) to set up the Chongqing Stem Cell Bio-Technology Development Center as part of an effort to promote clinical applications of mature stem cell technology, reporting the Securities Daily, citing a company announcement.

The Tianjin-based listed company hired Dr. Huang Jiaxue as the new entity’s vice president. Huang was vice chairmen of the International Association of Stem Cell Therapy and was in charge of Asian affairs. Dr. Huang Jiaxue is expected to help the listed company improve its stem cell technology and introduce cooperative programs with foreign firms.

According to news reports, several stem cell specialists have joined Zhongyuan Union Stem Cell Bioengineering Corporation in recent months. They will help upgrade stem cell storage technology and will develop stem cell therapy.
