July 19 – Wuhu Conch Profiles and Science (000619) plans to form a company in Shandong province to produce energy-saving construction materials for a total investment of 300 million yuan, reports yicai.com, citing a company filing.

The project is designed to produce 80,000 tons of construction materials and is scheduled to be completed by the fourth quarter of 2012.

Shandong also has abundant raw chemical resources and is a major producer of such as polyvinyl chloride (PVC).

Conch Science supplies building materials such as molds, doors, windows, pipes, profiles, and fences. The company, which is based in Wuhu city, Anhui province, produces nearly one thousand kinds of molds. It sells domestically and to the UK, Poland, Germany, Singapore, Russia, and Kazakhstan.
