August 24 -- Sichuan Changhong Electric (600839) posted a 469.19-percent increase in net profit to 231 million yuan in the first half of 2011, reports Shanghai Securities News, citing a company filing. Sales revenue in the same period hit 22.99 billion yuan, up 23.51 percent. Percentage changes cited in this story are year-on-year.

Revenue from television sales grew 4.56 percent to 6.379 billion yuan; revenues from air-conditioner and refrigerator sales climbed 23.41 percent to 5.07 billion yuan; revenues from IT products grew 56.77 percent to 4.72 billion yuan.

Sales revenues from the domestic market climbed 23.98 percent to 19.63 billion yuan while revenues from the overseas market grew 20.84 percent to 2.67 billion yuan.
