Battery pack maker Simplo Technology has kicked off operations at its production base in Chongqing City, western China, with No. 1 factory beginning shipments in small volumes. No. 2 factory is set to be completed in November 2011 and to start production in the following month, No. 3 factory to be completed in February 2012, according to the company.

Mainly due to fast growing demand for battery packs used in tablet PCs, Simplo expects sequential revenue growth for the third and fourth quarters of 2011.
