Syntax-Brillian on Oct 13 celebrated the opening of an LCD TV manufacturing facility in Nanjing, China, under joint venture Nanjing Huahai Display Technology. With a projected annual capacity of approximately 300,000 units, the facility will significantly boost the output of the company's Olevia-branded LCD TVs in China.

In addition to manufacture and assembly, the joint venture supports Syntax-Brillian's partnership with Asia-based companies to accelerate the expansion of Olevia LCD TVs in China and Asia Pacific. The venture is also responsible for R&D, marketing and distribution of the Olevia product family in the regions.

Syntax-Brillian currently distributes Olevia LCD TVs in China through five major consumer electronics distributors in eight cities on China's east coast. The Nanjing facility is expected to provide the company with more cost-effective, just-in-time-delivery for channel partners throughout China, as well as capacity to support the growing demand for Olevia LCD TVs the Americas.
