Taiwan's four major digital camera makers will ship 14.415 million units in total in fourth-quarter 2011, falling 13.9% on quarter and 5.1% on year, data collected by Digitimes Research show.
Ability Enterprise will account for 45.0% of the total shipments, followed by Altek with 29.7%, Foxconn Electronics (Hon Hai Precision Industry) with 19.1% and Asia Optical with 6.2%.
Of the clients, Nikon will be the largest taking 20.8% of the shipments, followed by Fujifilm with 15.3%, Eastman Kodak with 14.5%, Sony with 13.5%, Olympus with 9.2%, Casio with 7.6% and Samsung Electronics with 4.2%.
In terms of resolutions, 14-megapixel models will take up 48% of the shipments, followed by 16-megapixel with 40% and 12-megapixel with 9%.
