Intel and Taiwan-based software designer Insyde Software will jointly host Fall UEFI Plugfest in Taiwan from October 25-27, to promote the latest UEFI technologies.
There will be at least 25 PC brand vendors and motherboard players to participate the event and in addition to test of UEFI platform, there will also be several technology forums hosted at the show.
Currently, Insyde has 95% of its revenues contributed by its BIOS business with its operating system business accounting for only 5%. The company expects its server BIOS business to start contributing revenues in 2012 with smartphone BIOS to start showing improvement in 2013.
