Branded LCD monitor vendor Chimei has adjusted downward its LCD monitor shipment target for 2011 to 550,000 units, from the 600,000 units projected earlier in the year due to slack market demand, according to industry sources.
Chimei's LCD monitor shipments totaled about 400,000-450,000 units in the first three quarters of the year, down slightly from a year earlier, the sources indicated.
Of Chimei's total LCD monitor shipments in 2011, those shipped to China are expected to reach 250,000-300,000 units, added the sources.
Now tying up with the retail channel built up by the Foxconn Group in China, Chimei aims to ship 500,000-600,000 monitors to China in 2012.
