Acer has reported unaudited financial figures for the third quarter of 2011, with net operating losses of NT$1.32 billion (US$45 million) shrinking from losses of NT$7.09 billion posted in the preceding quarter, according to the company.
Comparing on the same basis by deducting a one-time sales allowance and senior executive severance fees incurred in the second quarter, the third-quarter net operating loss significantly decreased on quarter, Acer pointed out. Acer has lowered retail channels' overall inventory in Europe to a reasonable level and stands a chance of attaining break-even operation in the fourth quarter, the company indicated.
For January-September 2011, Acer posted consolidated revenues of NT$347.198 billion, net operating losses of NT$6.479 billion, net losses of NT$6.706 billion and net loss per share of NT$2.55.
