Samsung Electronics, LG Display (LGD), and AU Optronics (AUO) are highlighting transparent panels in different sizes and applications at FPD International 2011.

Samsung showcased a 46-inch transparent LCD display that acts as a refrigerator door. The maker also presented a transparent LCD monitor for all-in-one (AIO) PCs.

LGD displayed a 26-inch transparent LCD panel dubbed C-Thru, as well as a 4.3-inch WV Active TBL transparent interactive panel for smartphones.

AUO's 65-inch transparent panels can be applied on vending machines. The panel is co-developed by Intel, Microsoft, and Sanden.
