WT Microelectronics, a Taiwan-based IC distributor, had 44.6% of its total revenues coming from China-based clients in the third quarter of 2011, followed by Taiwan-based clients with 43.9%, South Korea-based ones with 6.7% and Southeast Asia-based ones with 4.8%, according to the company at an investor conference on October 31.
Main China-based clients were handset vendors including ZTE, Lenovo and Coolpad, WT Microelectronics pointed out.
In terms of product application, 29.8% of the third-quarter revenues came from communication, especially smartphones, 26.1% from PCs, 23.9% from consumer electronics and 13.7% from industrial use, WT Microelectronics indicated.
For the fourth quarter of 2011, WT Microelectronics expects revenues of NT$16.0-18.0 billion (US$533-600 million) and gross margin of 6.1-6.3%.
