Chinese internet firm Sohu (Nasdaq: SOHU) has announced that it will unify accounts for six of its products as of December 1. New users of the My Sohu portal (i.sohu.com), Sohu's microblogging, video and blogging platforms, the comments section of Sohu's news channel (comment.news.sohu.com) and Sohu's forums (club.sohu.com) will register for a single account interoperable across all six services, while current users must choose a single user ID.

In addition, accounts that have been dormant for more than six months will be removed as of December 15 and made available to other users. Account consolidation is expected to be concluded by January 31, 2012.
