BEIJING, Nov. 24 (Xinhua) -- Chinese shares closed slightly higher at midday Thursday. The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index closed the morning session at 2,401.85 points, up 0.28 percent.

The Shenzhen Component Index closed at 9,961.63 points, up 0.04 percent.
