Simplo, Dynapack, Catcher see mixed result for November

   Date:2011/12/06

Taiwan-based notebook upstream suppliers Simplo Technology, Dynapack International Technology and Catcher Technology announced their revenues for November with mixed results.

Battery maker Simplo announced revenues of NT$4.5 billion (US$149.13 million) for November, down slightly by 0.08% on month, but up 21.6% on year with combined revenues for the first 11 months of 2011 reached NT$44.37 billion, up 25.78% on year.

Meanwhile, Dynapack saw its consolidated revenues reach NT$2.46 billion, up 2.92% on month and 45.75% on year, with combined consolidated revenues from January to November reaching NT$21.43 billion, up 31.74% on year.

Catcher suffered from production stoppage at its plants in Suzhou, China, saw its consolidated revenues dropped 18.9% on month, but up 3.2% on year, to NT$2.61 billion in November, while the combined consolidated revenues for the first 11 months in 2011 increased 68.2% on year to NT$32.6 billion.

Since all three makers are upstream suppliers of Apple, market watchers believe their good on-year growth has mainly benefited from strong sales of iPad 2 and MacBook series on Black Friday.

As for Catcher, since the company still has not yet resumed its production at Suzhou plants, the company is aggressively spreading its orders to other production sites in Taiwan and China, while it has also moved its CNC machines from plants in Suzhou to those in Jiangsu, China.
