Among the top-three ARM-based processor makers, Nvidia is expected to gain an advantages in the competition of Windows on ARM (WOA) platform with its experience in the PC industry, according to sources from notebook players.

Since Nvidia has experience in developing PC chipsets and has an R&D team that handles BIOS development, compared to Qualcomm and Texas Instruments that still need to rely on third-party BIOS players, it has already provided Nvidia strong advantage in the WOA market competition.

Currently, players are facing several difficulties in terms of resources and technologies and lack of software talent has already become the major problem of the players and is causing a delay in their developments of the WOA platform.

As the company's product lines and market share continue to climb, Nvidia has been aggressive recruiting talent and is set to hire more than 450 employees to fulfill its R&D and marketing as well as software development for Tegra, Android, CUDA, mobile platform.
