China Insurers' Jan-Oct Premiums Up 14% on Year

China's insurers collected CNY470.03 billion in premiums in the first 10 months this year, up 14% from last year's CNY412.26 billion, according to data from the China Insurance Regulatory Commission.
China's insurance companies had assets of CNY1.845 trillion at the end of October, up from CNY1.472 trillion a year earlier, data issued Monday by the CIRC showed.
Bank deposits held by insurers totaled CNY546.67 billion at the end of October, up from CNY507.40 billion a year earlier. Insurers had total investments of CNY1.125 trillion at the end of October, up from CNY834.52 billion a year earlier, according to the data.
