Taiwan-based EMS provider Foxconn Electronics (Hon Hai Precision Industry) will expand production capacity of smartphones at its factory in Zhengzhou City, northern China, from 200,000 smartphones a day currently to 400,000 units, sources have cited China-based media as indicating.

The factory's workforce will be expanded from 100,000 workers to 200,000, the sources said.
