Taiwan-based solar wafer maker Eversol indicated a strategic alliance with a Japan-based solar PV system firm will be announced in February. In addition, Eversol's mono-like solar products have been recognized by many customers and shipments will begin after the Lunar New Year.

Eversol noted the cooperation with Japan-based firms will allow the firm to enter the Japan market.

Eversol stated the mono-like solar products can reach efficiency around 18-18.6%. In the future, the conversion efficiency will likely exceed 19%. Eversol expects mono-like solar products to begin shipments in February. Mono-like solar products will account for 30% of total production, added Eversol.

Eversol indicated the current capacity utilization is around 50%. The solar wafer inventories have been cleared out but the price continues to be low. Hence, Eversol would rather lower capacity than selling and incurring losses.
