Pico projector maker Young Optics has posted net profits of NT$571 million (US$19.29 million) or an EPS of NT$5.01 on revenues of NT$7.03 billion for 2011.
Shipments of pico projector modules grew 350% on year in 2011, generating revenues of NT$1 billion, said the company, adding that shipments for pico projector applications are expected to increase 40% sequentially in the first half of 2012 and to account for 14-17% of total revenues.
Of other items, short-throw projectors will make up 24-26% of total sales in the first half, while niche market models will take up another 21-24%, said the company.
In addition, sales of optic parts for image applications will grow to account for 8-10% total revenues in the first half.
