   Date:2006/12/31
Hotel operator Hilton Hotels Corp. said it is partnering with RREEF, the real estate investment arm of Deutsche Bank Group, and private equity firm H&Q Asia Pacific to create more than 20 hotels in China.

RREEF and H&Q will buy, develop and convert sites totaling about 5,000 new rooms under the Hilton Garden Inn brand. Hilton will give assistance in site selection, development, training, operations support, brand management and marketing.

Potential locations include Shanghai, Beijing, Tianjin and urban areas in the Yangtze River Delta and Bohai Bay regions. "China is an outstanding market whose booming economy and growing tourism both domestically and in-bound will ensure a strong demand for focused service hotels," Ian Carter, Hilton's chief executive of international operations said in a statement.
