The world's leading hotel group Marriott announced it had signed an agreement with Shanghai Chengfeng real estate company, to establish another Renaissance hotel in Shanghai.

The new 680-room Zhongshan Renaissance hotel will open in the middle of 2007. The Zhongshan Renaissance hotel project will also boast 24,000 square meters of office space.

There are now two Renaissance hotels in Shanghai, two in Tianjin, one in Beijing and one in Suzhou. New Renaissance hotels will be opened in Shanghai, Wuhan and Beijing over the next two years. Marriott's other brands include JW Marriott, Ritz-Carlton and Courtyard.
